The Job
The HR Executive role is a standalone, hands on position responsible for covering all aspects of the employee life cycle. As a key partner to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, the HR Executive will drive all aspects of HR including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and HR operations. This role will be instrumental in establishing strong HR foundations, policies and processes, while supporting the evolving needs of a growing fashion business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on all people related matters
- Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Leading end-to-end recruitment across all functions
- Building and embedding performance management frameworks and processes
- Managing employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies
- Overseeing compensation, benefits and payroll
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practice
- Establishing scalable HR policies, systems and reporting
- Supporting organisational design and change management as the business grows
The Person
The ideal person for this role is a proactive, hands on HR professional who thrives in a standalone environment and enjoys both strategic thinking and operational delivery. They will be comfortable building HR frameworks while supporting a fast-paced, creative business. They will have experience in a growing organisation, ideally within fashion, retail or a creative industry, and will be confident working closely with senior stakeholders. They will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to balance the needs of the business with those of employees. They will bring structure, clarity and consistency, while remaining adaptable and solutions oriented. They will typically have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role, with strong knowledge of UK employment legislation. Experience in a standalone or small team environment is highly desirable. Ideally Level 7 CIPD qualified.
