A studio based role, supporting the development team function with regards to RTW. To support and drive margin while delivering quality and aesthetic brand requirements. This role reports into the RTW Product Development Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Working within the PD team to develop RTW styles to the business critical path and budget
- Driving product by elevation of quality, working closely with technical and pattern teams
- Co-ordinate and drive all raw materials in order to achieve required dates
- Working with design to source new fabrics for the denim category and management of wash trials process
- Ordering of Denim proto and SMS fabric in accordance with the Critical path
- Monitor the sustainable credentials of all materials used, and always strive for improvements
- Clear understanding of MOQ’s and pricing for garment make and raw materials
- Ensuring style send outs are managed with correct supplier(s)
- Data management; Zedonk, Trim sheets all to required critical path
- Supplier management, ensuring clarity of information for sampling
- Identification and management of cost price and risk attributes within styles
- Participation in pre-show activities
- Management of production handover / sealing dates, ensuring product is resolved sufficiently in order for production to commence
Requirements
- Degree level or similar
- 3+ years of experience within Product Development at luxury positioning within Fully factored products
- Mandatory proven Tailoring and Denim experience
- Experience working with factories in EU would be an advantage
- Solid knowledge of garment construction, raw materials and components
- Experience in material sourcing, wash development and denim development constraints
- Organised, efficient and critical path focused
- Negotiation skills with third parties
- PLM / PDM experience would be an advantage + MS office skills
