Era4 develops, owns and operates AI infrastructure across the UK, powered by renewable energy. Converting legacy industrial and energy sites into modern data‑centre facilities, Era4 is combining brownfield regeneration opportunities with cleaner, efficient, scalable compute capacity for healthcare, research, finance, enterprise, and public‑sector organisations.

You'll own the supplier register from day one: the system, the process, and the standard we hold ourselves to. In a fast‑growing start‑up environment, the work you do will directly determine how we scale, run our operations smoothly, and stay compliant. You'll touch every part of the business, and no two weeks will look the same. If you want genuine ownership, real compliance stakes, and variety that keeps you sharp, this role was built for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for teams onboarding new suppliers, making the process straightforward to navigate without cutting corners, and continuously improve the workflows.
  • Own and maintain the supplier register as the single source of truth for every supplier relationship; from initial request through due diligence, legal review, leadership approval, and finance setup, ensuring every record is complete, current, and audit‑ready.
  • Collect, verify, and store all required supplier documentation; certificates of insurance, due diligence and compliance evidence, InfoSec questionnaires, and more.
  • Track contract renewal and renegotiation dates across the supplier base, issuing timely reminders to internal owners so no milestone catches the business by surprise.
  • Own and maintain both the corporate and production asset registers from point of purchase through to disposal, working with IT, Tech and Finance to ensure assets are tagged, assigned, reconciled, and audited regularly.
  • Support the GRC Manager with the operational evidence needed for SOC 2 and ISO27001 third‑party controls.
Essential Experience
  • Procurement experience: 4–5 years in a procurement or supplier management role, with hands‑on experience reading and interpreting contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Process ownership: Proven experience owning and maintaining structured records such as supplier databases, asset registers, or compliance trackers, with meticulous attention to detail and a track record of keeping them accurate, complete, and audit‑ready.
  • Stakeholder instincts: Confident coordinating and communicating across multiple teams simultaneously, knowing when to push, when to elevate, and how to bring people along without friction, expressing it clearly whether chasing a supplier, briefing a stakeholder, or documenting a process.
  • Continuous improvement: Comfortable with systems and automation; the specific tools matter less than the ability to build and improve process workflows, not just use them.
  • Self‑starter: Energised by ambiguity rather than unsettled by it, curious, resourceful, and able to create structure where none exists, comfortable managing multiple priorities at once without losing grip on the detail.
One or More Would Be an Advantage
  • Experience in a data centre, infrastructure, or technical operations environment or close to a regulated or compliance‑driven environment i.e. financial services, legal, healthcare, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC2, or similar frameworks and what third‑party management looks like within them.
  • CIPS qualification or working towards it.
