ABOUT THE COMPANY

Global Expansion (www.globalexpansion.com), an independent subsidiary of Equus Software, is a global Employer of Record (EOR) service provider. We are experiencing rapid growth and are looking for a focused, positive, and energetic Client Services Manager to join our global team. At Global Expansion, we are passionate about delivering a Global EOR service that provides an exceptional employee experience and a flexible, comprehensive solution for our clients. We currently support our clients in over 160 countries with the ability to hire in 214 countries and territories worldwide. Our team is distributed across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Global Expansion (GX) is a fast-growing Employer of Record (EOR), enabling businesses to employ workers across multiple geographies through a network of in-country partners (ICPs). GX manages the full employment lifecycle, from onboarding and payroll through to invoicing and compliance, across a complex multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction operating model.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Full ownership of the finance function: Financial controls, reporting integrity, and team leadership across both pillars.
  • Board reporting: Produce accurate, timely, and credible management information that gives the COO and board genuine confidence in the numbers.
  • Month-end close process: Oversee the GL Accountant and Finance Manager to deliver a clean, controlled close each month within a defined timetable.
  • Financial controls framework: Design and embed controls appropriate for a multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction EOR business, with clear ownership and sign-off at every stage.
  • Senior stakeholder relationships: Be the primary finance voice with the COO, board, and business partners; the person people come to first for financial guidance.
  • Technical accounting: Serve as the go-to expert for complex accounting judgements across the business, including revenue recognition, FX treatment, intercompany and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Team leadership and development: Build a high-performing finance team, set clear expectations, conduct regular 1:1s, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across both pillars.
  • Automation and systems: Drive the finance technology agenda; identify and implement automation opportunities across the billing, reconciliation, and reporting cycles.
  • Continuous improvement: Embed a mindset of process improvement across the function; regularly review how work gets done and challenge the team to find better ways.
  • Transformation delivery: Lead the finance restructure through to steady state, including the people plan, system improvements, and Order-to-Cash redesign.
  • Cost base management: Manage the finance budget and ensure the function is appropriately resourced as the business scales.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (essential).
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a finance leadership role, ideally within a multi-currency transactional environment.
  • Strong technical accounting skills; the go-to person for complex accounting questions, particularly in multi-currency consolidation, revenue recognition, and management reporting.
  • Commercial instinct; able to translate financial data into insight that drives business decisions, not just report what happened.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team through a period of structural change; a track record of developing people, not just managing them.
  • Demonstrable experience driving automation and process improvement in a finance function; comfortable with finance systems, APIs, and automation tools, and making the case for investment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset; someone who is never satisfied with 'good enough' and consistently looks for smarter ways to operate.
  • Experience managing offshore or distributed finance teams is an advantage.
  • Hands-on and willing to operate at both strategic and transactional levels, particularly during the transition period.
  • Experience in EOR, staffing, professional services, or a similarly complex billing model (strongly preferred).
