We are looking for a motivated Junior Developer to join our growing team on-site in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. You will work closely with senior developers to build, maintain, and improve web and software applications, while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of web and software applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with senior developers and other team members on projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
Requirements
- Familiarity with web development frameworks like React / Node.js is a plus
- Understanding of databases Microsoft SQL / Azure SQL
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of Entity Framework Core, RESTful API or ASP.NET Core, and Git version control
- Problem solving mindset and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow as a developer
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Personal projects, internships, or coding bootcamp experience is advantageous
