The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

Working within this unit you will contribute to multi-disciplinary projects across diverse clients, such as the Environment Agency, Associated British Ports (ABP), Rolls Royce, Canal and River Trust, the Mining Remediation Authority, National Grid, Cadent Gas, P&G and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and local authorities. Projects range from flood alleviation, water treatment, infrastructure construction, industrial buildings, to gas network upgrades. As a Design Lead you will drive projects that significantly impact the environment and communities. Your work will be primarily in the UK water market, delivering feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning services to keep water flowing and wastewater treated.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and lead multi-disciplinary design for projects/programmes.
  • Develop and lead a team of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers.
  • Develop affordable, low-carbon solutions, managing opportunities and risks.
  • Deliver detailed designs to satisfy construction needs and client acceptance, managing cost and programme.
  • Challenge engineering solutions and delivery effectiveness to provide the best value solutions.
  • Provide direction and oversight of project controls, ensuring the team meets quality, programme and cost requirements.
  • Maintain positive client relationships at the project level.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Chartered or incorporated member of professional institutions (e.g. ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in outline and detailed design of water or wastewater projects and knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
  • Strong technical knowledge in your discipline and appreciation of other disciplines.
  • Ability to travel to sites across your operational region.
