The main responsibilities of the Senior Energy Contracts Manager – Flexible Procurement will be to negotiate and agree flexible energy supply contracts, and provide ongoing market support for our clients. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive analysis of flexible contract offers, including supplier terms and conditions, to our customers in partnership with our Account Management team. Alongside this, you will be responsible for keeping internal teams updated on any developments within the energy market. Central to the role will be the ability to forge strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Negotiate and manage flexible energy supply contracts for clients
  • Analyse supplier offers (commercial terms, pricing, conditions) and present insights to Account Management
  • Run tender processes: issue to market, collate responses, and evaluate outcomes
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on flexible products during client discussions
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Monitor and share energy market updates and insights
  • Build strong supplier relationships to drive competition and better outcomes
  • Ensure accurate contract documentation and compliance (including Public Sector procurement)
  • Manage tender pipeline and meet deadlines across multiple projects
  • Support supplier meetings and handle ad hoc client/supplier queries
  • Assist with fixed pricing activities during peak periods

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate the following values:

  • Strong experience in the UK energy market, particularly flexible contracts
  • Proven ability to analyse, negotiate, and place energy supply agreements
  • Highly numerate with strong Excel/data analysis skills
  • Organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
  • Degree preferred
