What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute Equity Energies’ sales strategy in alignment with the Group strategy.
- Build multi‑year growth plans focused on market expansion, sector penetration, and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Lead creation of GTM plans, strategy packs, sales playbooks, and scalable processes to elevate performance.
- Identify and quantify market opportunities, using data‑driven approaches to maximise impact.
- Forge strategic partnerships and alliances to accelerate pipeline creation and brand presence.
- Collaborate across marketing, product, operations, and commercial teams to align strategy with delivery capability.
- Sales Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop BDM, Senior BDM, Lead Generation, and Sales Support teams.
- Create a culture of accountability, learning, and excellence in execution.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management across the sales organisation.
- Ensure team members are cross‑skilled and aligned to a consultative, solutions‑focused GTM approach.
- Pipeline, KPI & Performance Management
- Own and manage the sales pipeline with accuracy and discipline.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for lead generation, opportunity progression, revenue delivery, and activity metrics.
- Maintain Salesforce CRM data quality and compliance across the sales organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, cycle speed, and conversion rates through data insights.
- Market & Customer Engagement
- Engage directly with strategic customers, major partnership accounts, and prospects.
- Maintain deep knowledge of UK energy industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Represent Equity Energies as a credible, consultative solutions provider through workshops, presentations, and sector campaigns.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant sales leadership experience within the UK energy industry (supplier, consultancy, or related sector).
- Proven track record of managing high‑performing sales teams delivering six‑figure individual deals and seven‑figure annual revenue.
- Experience creating and executing GTM strategies, sales plans, and partnership models.
- Strong understanding of energy procurement, decarbonisation services, and emerging Net Zero technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at SLT and customer board level.
- Comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels, balancing detail with long‑term vision.
- Commercially sharp, collaborative, and solutions‑led, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
