My client has a unique opportunity for a Finance Transformation Project Manager in our Finance team. This role is part of the Finance Transformation Team within the Finance Department. The Finance Transformation Project Manager is responsible for leading key transformation initiatives and projects within the Finance function, ensuring these changes align to target operating models and strategic vision of the Finance function.

What you’ll be doing:
- End to end management of key transformation and project initiatives within Finance.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining scope definition, project plan, resource plan, risk and issues, and other related project management artifacts and deliverables.
- Focused on process optimization and technology project work and ensuring alignment to target operating models and best practices.
- Analysing projects and wider programs to validate that delivery will meet Finance teams needs and alignment to target operating plans.
- Recommend best practice solutions and propose changes where required.
- Leading various project governance meetings and reporting routines.
- Defining roles and responsibilities for sponsors, stakeholders, operations, technology, and finance.
- Working closely with PMO functions from the Operations and IT Teams as cross functional projects are managed.
- Ensure coordination throughout project lifecycle and inclusion of Finance.
- Resourcing appropriately within Finance teams for project initiatives.
- Managing project workloads to meet delivery of projects in an efficient and on time manner.
- Understanding the Strategic Finance vision and align project delivery to this.
- Developing best practice in Finance Project delivery and ensure that the right governance is established and exercised over project implementation.
- Managing stakeholder expectations to establish the most accurate and appropriate definition of project scope and schedule which delivers on the required goals for the projects.
- Developing and maintain relationships with the wider Finance, IT and business teams.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.
- Managing one or multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Experienced project manager with at least 4+ years’ experience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects which span both business and IT disciplines.
- Background in the P&C insurance and or reinsurance industry preferred.
- Experience with Financial processes (accounting and close, treasury, procure to pay, and or order to cash) preferred; experience managing a Procure to Pay Transformation a plus.
- Experience with large-scale integration programs a plus.
- Experience with SAP a plus.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
