About the role

This is a junior, hands-on bookkeeping role supporting the day-to-day processing of client financial information across a varied portfolio of SME clients. You will work closely with the accounting team to process receipts and source documents, organise client information, and use systems such as Hubdoc and Xero to keep records accurate and ready for the accountants to work from. The role is designed for someone accurate, organised and with some practical bookkeeping exposure who wants to develop their skills over time. • Handling receipts, invoices and other source documents
  • Organising and preparing client information for the accounting team
  • Uploading and processing documents through Hubdoc
  • Reviewing and approving information in Hubdoc before sending it through to Xero
  • Maintaining accurate and well-organised client records
  • Carrying out general bookkeeping-related data processing
  • Identifying missing information or obvious discrepancies and escalating these to the appropriate team member
  • Working closely with accountants to ensure they have the information needed to complete client work
  • Supporting general administrative and practice tasks where required
  • Learning and taking on broader bookkeeping responsibilities as skills develop

  • Comfort supporting both bookkeeping and administrative/processing tasks
  • Willingness to learn and develop bookkeeping skills over time
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence communicating directly with clients
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise your workload
