We are looking for an equestrian sales representative at our store in Billingshurst, one of the most comprehensive retail stores in the South. We are dedicated to providing excellent customer service, expert knowledge, and the highest quality products. The team here truly is the heart of Equitogs, and we are seeking an individual who has a strong desire and drive for sales and all things equine and country.

We are looking for a sales-driven, dedicated, charismatic, and friendly individual with solid equestrian knowledge and a passion for providing first-class customer service. The ideal candidate will be able to use their own equine experience to offer the best possible advice and build strong relationships with our customers through a personal shopper-style approach to sales.

Duties include:

  • Welcoming customers and providing accurate product knowledge and advice to ensure every sales opportunity is met to the best of our ability
  • Demonstrating a willingness to learn about all products within the store and staying up to date with current promotions and new launches
  • Answering the phone with a professional manner, engaging with customers confidently, and responding to inquiries promptly and effectively
  • Processing payments through the till system, handling refunds and inquiries efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean and well-presented store, along with the ability to merchandise stock with attention to detail
  • Participating in team meetings
  • Carrying out additional duties as required

Personal skills required:

  • Enjoy interacting with customers and being a "people person"
  • A natural ability and eagerness to sell, using excellent communication skills and expert knowledge
  • A genuine passion for horses and familiarity with the brands we sell
  • A keen interest in equestrian sport and an awareness of sporting events within the industry
  • Competitive experience as a rider and/or groom is a bonus, but not essential
  • Confident, outgoing, and energetic with a zest for life
  • Driven, motivated to learn and succeed
  • Punctual and focused
  • Polite and helpful

Job Type: Full-time – 5 days a week, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (40 hours per week), including Saturdays (Saturday supplement is paid). The store is based in Billingshurst, West Sussex.

We are looking for someone to settle into our team and view this role as a long-term career opportunity. A competitive salary is offered, based on experience, along with sales performance incentives and bonuses. Full training will be provided on all products, safety items, till systems, and day-to-day store operations.
