The Role β Day-to-Day Duties
As Teacher of Drama, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 3β4. Duties will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Drama lessons in line with the curriculum
- Teaching mixed-ability classes across KS3 and KS3β4
- Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
- Contributing to the wider life of the department during the cover period
- Following school policies and procedures at all times
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher of Drama with QTS or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Drama at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and confident delivery across KS3 and KS3β4
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons independently
- This role is not suitable for ECTs (NQTs)
