Salary: 110 to 120 per day

Education: A basic level of education is required, with a good understanding of supporting children within a primary setting. A background in childcare, education or care is highly beneficial.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
  • Team Teach or other behaviour management training (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Experience:

  • Experience working within a primary school or similar setting
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD/ASC, SEMH, ADHD or speech and language needs
  • Experience working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Strong behaviour management and ability to support emotional regulation

Job Specifics: This role involves supporting pupils with additional needs within a primary school setting. You will work both 1:1 and in small groups, supporting children to access learning and develop socially and emotionally. You will be expected to support the class teacher with lesson delivery, adapt resources where required and implement EHCP targets to ensure pupils are making progress. The role may also involve supporting pupils with behavioural needs and, where required, assisting with personal care. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils are essential. You will play a key role in creating a supportive, structured and engaging learning environment.
