We are exclusively partnering with a highly regarded financial services organisation to appoint a Head of FP&A . Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a pivotal leadership position responsible for shaping the firm's financial planning capability, driving commercial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making at Executive Committee and Board level.
This role goes well beyond traditional planning and reporting. You will act as a trusted business partner to the executive leadership team, providing commercial insight, challenging business performance, and leading the evolution of the FP&A function as the organisation continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Group-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across multiple business units.
Own the delivery of monthly Board and Executive reporting, providing clear analysis, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Partner with the CEO, CFO and senior leadership team to influence commercial and operational decision-making.
Develop sophisticated financial models, scenario planning and investment appraisals to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions and business transformation.
Drive performance management through the development of meaningful KPIs, dashboards and management information.
Provide commercial challenge to business leaders, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and capital allocation.
Lead the Group forecasting process for revenue, costs, cash flow, liquidity and headcount, ensuring robust financial governance.
Oversee the continued development of planning systems, reporting capabilities and data analytics to improve decision-making across the business.
Build, mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team, creating a culture of continuous improvement and commercial excellence.
Work closely with Finance, Risk, Treasury and Operations to ensure alignment between financial plans and wider business objectives.
About You
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Significant FP&A leadership experience within financial services, banking, asset management, wealth management or a similarly regulated environment.
Proven experience partnering with Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and business planning expertise.
Demonstrable experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior decision-makers.
