We're currently working with a leading UK organisation in their search for an Interim Chief Communications Officer. The role will run for an initial 4 month period and will be carried out on a hybrid working basis with 2 days per week in the office.

Our client is looking for this person to set the strategic communications direction, establishing the organisation’s strategic narrative that positions the organisations vision, impact and influence with priority audiences, including the clear promotion of all activity delivered across external teams. The role will also lead their media and press operations, providing executive oversight to ensure robust capability, high-quality output, and disciplined media handling across a highly complex and politically sensitive environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Deep communications experience (internal/external)
  • Exceptional stakeholder management
  • Proven experience operating at exec level, leading development and execution of communications strategies
  • Significant experience in high risk media, handling and managing reputational risk at org level
  • Be available at short notice
