• The position is hybrid between 2 days at the office (Wed and Thurs) and 3 days remote
• Full-time Permanent Role
• Salary between: £39,000-45,000

Role: The Test Analyst will report to the Manual Test Manager and work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to enhance our testing capabilities and support the continuous delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients.

Your Day with Equisoft:

• Participate in discussion of scope item user stories and software requirements, ensuring a good understanding prior to commencement of testing activities.
• Understand the business processes that our applications support.
• Create an overall test approach for assigned scope items, which should be discussed and agreed by BA and developers.
• Creation of and maintenance of all test artifacts for assigned scope items.
• Provide estimates of time required to complete test case preparation and execution for assigned scope items.
• Participate in discussion of the schedule for test builds in the development cycle with lead tester, lead developer and product owner.
• Undertaking of design and creation of test cases based on user stories, ensuring that given user stories cover all scope item requirements.
• Perform peer reviews of test cases before they are executed.
• Execution of test cases on test builds.
• Logging of time taken to execute test cases.
• Analysis and discussion of defects observed whilst executing test cases with developers and product owner.
• Logging of validated defects with all required information.
• Retesting of fixed defects.
• Contribute to the design and execution of automated tests.
• Effectively communicate with other team members and contribute to team and technical discussions and retrospectives.
• Ensure that activities undertaken by you comply with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Technical:
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Test Analyst
• Understanding of QA methodologies & debugging
• Experience in preparing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans
• Proven experience testing complex web user interfaces.
• Solid understanding of test design and requirements analysis
• Aware of the business environments and contexts into which solutions are deployed
• Methodical, pragmatic approach to testing, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle
• Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)

• Nice to Haves:
• Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly in platforms, wealth management, pension administration and/or fund administration
• Good understanding of operation processes and systems
• Experience of the Atlassian tool set (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo)
• Experience of TestRail for test management
