Role:
The Test Analyst will report to the Manual Test Manager and work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to enhance our testing capabilities and support the continuous delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients.
Your Day With Equisoft:
- Participate in discussion of scope item user stories and software requirements, ensuring a good understanding prior to commencement of testing activities.
- Understand the business processes that our applications support.
- Create an overall test approach for assigned scope items, which should be discussed and agreed by BA and developers.
- Creation and maintenance of all test artifacts for assigned scope items.
- Provide estimates of time required to complete test case preparation and execution for assigned scope items.
- Participate in discussion of the schedule for test builds in the development cycle with lead tester, lead developer and product owner.
- Design and create test cases based on user stories, ensuring that given user stories cover all scope item requirements.
- Perform peer reviews of test cases before they are executed.
- Execute test cases on test builds.
- Log time taken to execute test cases.
- Analyse and discuss defects observed whilst executing test cases with developers and product owner.
- Log validated defects with all required information.
- Retest fixed defects.
- Contribute to the design and execution of automated tests.
- Effectively communicate with other team members and contribute to team and technical discussions and retrospectives.
- Ensure that activities undertaken comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Test Analyst
- Understanding of QA methodologies & debugging
- Experience in preparing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans
- Proven experience testing complex web user interfaces.
- Solid understanding of test design and requirements analysis
- Awareness of the business environments and contexts into which solutions are deployed
- Methodical, pragmatic approach to testing, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle
- Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to use initiative or take instruction as the situation demands
- Inquisitive with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to pick up and understand technical & business concepts

- Experience of TestRail for test management
