We're currently recruiting a dedicated Porter to help ensure the smooth running of operations at Chartwells on a full‑time basis (40 hours per week). As a Porter you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of customer care and cleanliness. Shift patterns will be 5 out of 7 days.
Key responsibilities and qualifications:
- Assist in keeping the lobby and other public areas clean and tidy.
- Help housekeeping, restaurant, and banqueting staff set up rooms or move furniture.
- Handle certain reception duties, such as booking theatre tickets or making restaurant reservations.
- Respond to customer requests where required.
- Run errands.
- Ensure the safety of customers by, for instance, placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors.
- Be adaptable and embrace changing priorities.
- Be a brilliant communicator and build relationships.
- Have experience delivering high quality customer care.
- Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability.
