We are looking for a professional and confident Receptionist with a security focus to join our client's site-based team. This is a front-line role where you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming first impression while ensuring a safe and secure environment for all visitors, staff, and stakeholders. Working as part of a two-person reception and security team, you'll deliver exceptional customer service while supporting site security through access control, monitoring, and liaison with key site contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and sign in visitors, issuing passes and managing guest records in line with GDPR
  • Monitor site access, CCTV, and entry/exit points using a controlled access system
  • Maintain site security, reporting and escalating any suspicious activity
  • Manage reception duties including calls (via Teams), meeting room bookings, and diary coordination
  • Act as a key holder, opening and closing the building as required
  • Keep reception and meeting spaces clean, organised, and fully stocked
  • Provide administrative support, including ordering stationery and coordinating catering
  • Arrange taxis, pool vehicle bookings, and support site visits and client meetings
  • Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day operation of the building
  • Respond flexibly to ad-hoc requests and represent the business professionally at all times

Full training will be provided. The most important is the right attitude, flexibility, and commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and professional service.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in a busy, professional reception or front-of-house environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail and timekeeping
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team
  • Confident using IT systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, and access control systems
  • Calm, discreet, and professional when handling sensitive or secure situations

Desirable

  • Experience working in a lockable or secure facility
  • SIA Licence (or willingness to apply upon offer)
  • Prepared to undergo UK Security Clearance
