Great opportunity to join our Team as a Warehouse Operative! You will prepare and dispatch customer orders from stock held at the company warehouse sites, as well as ensure priority orders are processed and sent on time. Working as part of the Warehouse Team, this role involves co-operative working with other team members and pro-actively seeking jobs to carry out, under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Operative (including but not limited to):- Ensuring priority orders are processed and sent on time
- Use in house scanners to pick and pack orders, achieving dispatch within specified timescales
- Accurate order picking with minimal errors
- Use in-house computer system to produce despatch notes and invoices
- Carry out accurate stock checking and inventory as required
- Achieve targets and job standards set by the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager
- Communicate effectively with all team members
- Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
- Work effectively with the team and pro-actively seek work
- Perform any reasonable request from the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager
- Work efficiently and co-operatively as part of a team
- Keep work areas clean and tidy
- Follow Health & Safety rules and maintain standards rigorously
To join us as a Warehouse Operative you must have:
Essential:- Ability to learn an in-house computer and scanning system
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Organised and methodical working
- Positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude to work
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment
- Experience of picking and packing
- Experience of using computer-based packing systems
- Experience of courier dispatch
- Qualified and competent to use a Forklift Truck
Salary range £25,775.88 - £27,276.60 per annum commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience. Contributory company pension scheme, subject to qualifying conditions.
