Equip Outdoor Technologies UK Ltd based in Alfreton, Derbyshire specialise in the design and marketing of technical outdoor clothing and equipment. Our experienced and enthusiastic team develop innovative designs, manufactured to the highest standard and brought to market throughout the world. Equip Outdoor Technologies own and operate two leading aspirational outdoor brands, Rab and Lowe Alpine.
Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.
Position:
Great opportunity to join our team as UK Marketing Manager! This is a temporary contract for up to 18 months to cover maternity leave. You will develop, implement and execute strategic marketing plans that drive brand engagement and support increases in our sales and market share. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading, managing and integrating global marketing campaigns and initiatives within the UK.
Key Responsibilities of the UK Marketing Manager (including but not limited to):
- Develop and lead effective seasonal marketing plans in the UK according to the global marketing strategy supporting all categories, digital channels, media, events and trade.
- Create & plan the regional marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and support sell through.
- Responsible for ensuring our brands are well represented throughout the wholesale retail environment, both in bricks and mortar environments as well as digital channels.
- Project manage all brand sponsored events (B2B and consumer) and build marketing plans that incorporate all relevant areas of the business.
- Attending both B2B and consumer events when required.
- Responsible for full year budget and phasing with accountability for tracking and reporting against company accounts YTD, LY and outstanding invoicing.
- Execute Coop and ensuring FY spend with the key accounts against obtainable ROI, assets, and actions.
- Responsible for implementing marketing campaigns in region to both trade and consumer including retail support, shows and advertising within the country media according to the brand strategy and budget.
- Responsible for the regional PR. Working closely with in house PR team and agency partners.
- Work closely with the Country Manager and sales team to plan and execute the Rab Shop in Shop programme including strategic planning of new roll outs as well as the maintenance of existing installations ensuring they are representative of the brand at all times.
Requirements:
To join us as UK Marketing Manager (temporary contract) you must have:
- Experience working in brand &/or trade marketing landscape.
- High attention to detail and meticulous budget planning.
- The ability to think creatively whilst ensuring to capitalize on every opportunity to increase brand, sales and profitability.
- Experienced in delivering strategic marketing plans with project management experience.
- Excellent team management and communication skills.
- Results-driven, commercial approach with the need to drive team engagement.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates a flexible, positive and professional attitude.
- Adept at managing multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to work extra hours and weekends as required.
- Current full driving licence.
Desirable:
- Outdoor or sports sector experience.
