The predicted salary is between 22000 - 28000 £ per year.

Great opportunity to join our Team on a 12 months fixed term contract as Import Merchandiser! You will ensure the efficient management of the company stockholding, in both the factories and warehouses. This will include ensuring that stock is ordered, produced and delivered on time in full to meet both customer forward order demand and forecasted sales targets for the business.

Key Responsibilities of Import Merchandiser (including but not limited to):

  • Efficiently manage the stock-holding of the designated factories to ensure stock is available on time in the right quantities to service customer demand.
  • Work with the Buying Manager to manage the confirmed buys/order volume data in line with the Buying critical path to ensure orders are placed in a timely manner to hit customer/seasonal delivery dates.
  • Manage the order critical path from placement through to delivery ensuring suppliers are kept to the production deadlines so that stock is available on time.
  • Split the monthly buys by territory to ensure that the right stock is sent to the right places at the right time and work closely with the Stock Control team to ensure that these volumes are reserved to secure the stock.
  • Work with the freight forwarders to ensure stock is booked for onward transit in a timely manner, all paperwork and documentation is correct and comparable quotes have been obtained and authorized for any airfreight required.
  • Build strong two-way working relationships with the factories by giving clear instructions and guidance of the business requirements, holding regular meetings and working together to solve any problems or issues that arise.
  • Work closely with the fabric merchandising team to ensure that fabric required is in place to ensure no delays in production.
  • Communicate closely with the customer sales team to ensure they have full visibility of customer order delivery dates and that they are fully aware of any delays or issues that could impact these dates.
  • Ensure the delivery dates are accurate on the system at all times.
  • Work closely with the Design and Garment Tech Teams to ensure forward season ranges are confirmed and all product data information is available and up to date.
  • Efficient management of supplier production in accordance with our CSR objectives.
