Equiom is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, FP&A to lead strategic financial planning and analysis across the Group. This is a high-impact role, providing essential insight into financial performance and helping drive informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.
You will be responsible for corporate-level financial modelling and analysis, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, and producing external reporting for the Board and senior lenders. A critical aspect of this role is your ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders including the CEO, Executive Committee (ExCo), Board members, shareholders, and lenders through clear, data-driven insights and recommendations.
This is a pivotal time for Equiom. With current investor Alcentra expected to exit in the medium term, the business is preparing for a new phase of growth under new ownership. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing the business for sale, leading the financial workstream through the sale process, including ownership of Financial Due Diligence (FDD), and supporting the refinancing of the Group’s existing debt facilities
Your New Role
This list of duties is not exhaustive and may change from time to time according to business needs:
- Deliver Group-wide monthly financial reporting, preparing CFO and Banking packs
- Lead the annual Budgeting process and prepare forecasts. Set financial Targets as well as working with the business to agree plans to deliver to Target
- Provide the business with data driven insight to enable efficient decision making and identify value creating opportunities
- Prepare the business for sale and support the Equity sale process (timing TBC)
- Coach, develop and strengthen the FP&A and broader Finance team
What will you need to succeed in this role?
As to be expected, we are searching for someone who can bring a range of skills and experiences to enhance the team. As such, there are a few essential skills we are looking for:
- A number of years\’ post qualified experience having worked in FP&A roles in industry, preferably in a private equity backed or blue-chip company
- Experience working in a transaction environment beneficial
- Financial modelling experience
- Accounting qualification
- Experience in leading Budgeting and planning cycles
- Experience preparing financial reporting, performing variance analysis
- Stakeholder management and ability to influence decision makers and lead conversations to ensure optimal financial outcomes for Equiom
- Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of finance systems and managing data, knowledge of how to use Power BI for reporting and data analytics a plus
- Ability to drive results, having a track record of high performance and examples of delivering improvements to controls and financial processes
- Excellent communication skills; ability to deliver key messages and drive action to improve results
- Exhibiting a Growth Mindset; having an inquisitive mind, desire to learn and take on stretch goals
- Self-motivated with an ability to organise and work independently
