Job Description
Status: Part Time or Full Time
SoulCycle is seeking inspiring leaders in the fitness industry to learn and deliver our signature rhythm-based class arc and brand experience in studios across the country and internationally. As a SoulCycle Instructor, youβll create an uplifting, inclusive and high energy environment while building strong community connections. Through our comprehensive training program, you will learn our method and mission to motivate riders in every session. This role is for driven individuals who thrive in a fast paced, hospitality-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the SoulCycle brand and culture, be an active community builder, and commit to teaching in a dynamic environment. SoulCycle offers both part-time and full-time opportunities for qualified instructors. This position will report to the regional Talent Manager.
Role Expectations
- Teach a high energy SoulCycle class from the bike, modelling form and pace to create a SoulCycle brand experience while delivering an engaging, safe, and inclusive rider experience.
- Build and sustain relationships with riders and colleagues, acting as a brand ambassador both inside and outside the studio, including online presence.
- Be professional and respectful; Arrive at least 20 minutes before class start time and end class on time, communicate promptly and professionally.
- Actively participate in development, feedback & continuing education opportunities.
- Monitor and drive performance to meet and exceed individual goals (e.g. paid rides, frequency, retention) using your Instructor flash report.
- Adjust to varying studio dynamics, time slots, and audiences, ensuring every rider feels successful and celebrated.
- Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and inclusivity in every interaction and influence others to do the same.

Availability Requirements
- Open availability for non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Part-time Instructors are expected to have at least 3 days of availability, equal to an average of 20 hours per week, with at least one of those days being a Saturday or Sunday.
- Availability submitted at time of hire must be adhered to for at least six months.
- Ability to teach a minimum of four of the following holidays per year; Typically 2 of 4 summer holidays and 2 of 3 winter holidays:
- US Instructors: 4th of July, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day
- UK Instructors: New Years Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Bank Holiday, Spring Bank Holiday, Summer Bank Holiday, Christmas Day (closed), Boxing Day
Qualifications
- Successful completion of the SoulCycle Instructor Training Program (required).
- Strong preference for 2+ years of professional teaching experience in group fitness.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology and exercise modifications for all rider levels.
- Able to teach a high energy cycling class from the bike.
- Proficiency with Apple Music and/or music editing software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, vibrant, and community driven, with a passion for the SoulCycle brand.
- Strong hospitality and customer service skills.
- Access to phone, email, and laptop for work related communications.
Note: Instructors are prohibited from working for any direct competitor to SoulCycle during their employment.
Pay Transparency
