- Lead or co-lead origination from deal identification through MSPA qualification, term sheet and/or SPA negotiations, and operational handover.
- Work closely with relevant units such as trading, shipping, operations, risk and legal to shape strategic, commercially and operationally sound solutions.
- Conduct and support commercial analysis to evaluate value, risk, optionality and fit with Equinor’s LNG strategy.
- Prepare clear, well-structured material for internal governance processes, including senior management reviews and approvals.
- Contribute to, and occasionally lead, strategy development, market insight and long-term positioning across the global LNG book.
- Ensure transparent documentation, structured communication and full compliance throughout the origination value chain.
- Represent Equinor in external commercial engagements and negotiations with global LNG counterparties.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in originating and executing deals.
- A well-developed external network in the LNG industry.
- Deep understanding of the LNG industry and market, including volatility, cyclicality and regional dynamics.
- Deep understanding of LNG deal and portfolio value drivers, including pricing exposure, flexibility and optionality, and how contractual structures translate into portfolio risk and value.
- Self-motivated and resilient, with a collaborative and results-driven approach.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to live by Equinor’s values and the “I am safety” expectations.
- Fluency in written and oral English is required. Fluency in other languages is an advantage, but not a requirement.
