The Commercial Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the commercial performance and operational efficiency of the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm within Equinor’s renewables portfolio. Based at the Port of Tyne, the role focuses on optimising market participation, ensuring accurate revenue capture, and maintaining strong commercial and contractual control across a complex operating environment. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams—including operations, finance, regulatory, and digital—and external stakeholders to support electricity sales, balancing mechanism activities, and settlement processes.

The analyst is responsible for monitoring and validating commercial and operational data, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations, and enhancing reporting through digital tools and automation. Using strong analytical and commercial judgement, the role contributes to value optimisation by improving processes, supporting market strategy execution, and identifying opportunities to enhance performance across market participation and contract delivery.

This is a key commercial operations role supporting Dogger Bank within Equinor’s offshore wind portfolio. You will help optimise market participation, strengthen commercial control, and ensure contractual and regulatory obligations are delivered effectively across a complex operational environment.

As a Commercial Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for commercial execution and support efficient operation of Dogger Bank’s offshore wind generation. You will be located at the state-of-the-art O&M facility at the Port of Tyne. You will work with operations, regulatory, finance, digital teams, and external counterparties, using commercial judgement and analysis to support effective execution and value improvement.

Within this position, your key tasks will be to:

  • Manage commercial operations for all phases of Dogger Bank Wind farm including liaison with multiple external stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly reports and invoices for electricity sale (PPAs).
  • Support balancing mechanism activity, including analysis of dispatch, market outcomes, and settlement performance.
  • Monitor and validate commercial data, operational inputs, and settlement outputs to support revenue capture and control.
  • Support compliance across market frameworks, licence obligations, and internal governance processes.
  • Manage and execute contractual obligations across route-to-market, offtake, and operational agreements.
  • Work closely with the operations teams to maximise value and optimised planning synergies.
  • Develop and improve digital tools, dashboards, and automated workflows to enhance reporting and controls.
  • Identify value improvements across market participation and contract execution activities.
