What does the job involve?

Responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records and ledger for use in historical financial reporting. Responsible for compliant and efficient preparation of statutory and other special purpose reporting, and preparation of consolidated financial information. Ensure compliance and quality in historical financial data and reporting. Drive competence and development for relevant topics.

You are utilizing your knowledge independently to solve highly complex tasks with a short to medium-term tactical impact/risk. You address key business challenges that align with Equinor's short and long-term strategy via providing specialist support to your team and others. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across other areas, and towards key stakeholders from partners or external parties. You regularly navigate conflicting agendas and may lead negotiations with senior stakeholders. You resolve challenges, deliver improvements and contribute to shaping best practices. You promote change initiatives, demonstrate flexibility to adopt new highly complex activities/ways of working and advise others. You follow and comply with safety, ethics, and compliance requirements and align with leadership expectations and company values.

What will my tasks be?

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and year-end reporting for group purpose, UK Legal entity and BA reporting (incl UK Tax Accounting entries).
  • Statutory accounts preparation including Tax notes.
  • Quarterly forecasting by legal entity for tax payments.
  • Tax provisioning, support for tax returns.
  • Be the focal point between Tax and Accounting.
  • Improvement initiatives to streamline tax accounting across UK.
  • Knowledge sharing for tax accounting within the team.
  • Driving tax timetable for various UK deliveries.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation review (Blackline).
  • Key control preparer.
  • ONS Surveys.
