Job Summary
- Responsible for developing and implementing complex, cross-functional and/or global communication programs.
Content Creation/Management
- Works closely with senior leadership to create and deliver key messaging to stakeholders and target audiences.
- Evangelises and educates on communication best practices.
- Optimises content creation processes, determining when to reuse existing content or create purpose-built content, or acquire 3rd party content to meet organisational needs.
- Creates and upholds corporate content governance policies.
- Creates complex content for key stakeholders, as needed.
- Determines global/local relevance, coordinating with regional and local peers and tweaking content and/or translating, as needed.
Communications Planning
- Develops and maintains a master communications plan, ensuring alignment with department and broader company initiatives.
- Constantly seeks to evolve and refine communication programs.
Communication Platform Management
- Provides input on the requirements for definition and selection of new content-related technologies.
- Owns various communications platforms, including content, governance, and information architecture.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Builds relationships and works effectively at all levels within the organisation and across functions.
- Facilitates periodic cross-functional meetings to foster knowledge sharing, collaboration and progress around content best practices and challenges.
- Identifies and provides input to key stakeholders throughout the company.
- Ensures alignment in cross-functional priorities.
- Manages agency relationships and expectations, assists in identifying agency requirements and agency selection process.
Project Management
- Leads cross-functional teams in implementation of large projects.
- Communicates major project/program scope, schedule, resource, risks/issues and budget changes.
Reporting and Metrics
- Identifies metrics to measure for his or her area of responsibility, and how and when to report on them.
- Oversees content measurement and KPIs, including the design and operation of relevant, synthesised dashboards, reports and analyses.
Qualifications
- Proven years experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
