Job Summary

Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Management: Provides immediate supervision to semi-skilled support team members. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team. Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and training.
  • Project / Infrastructure Site Management: Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers. Executes specified routine tasks. Meets unit targets typically against a weekly plan. Provides input and guidance towards budget. Overall site capacity supervision.
  • Vendor Management: Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards.
  • Testing: Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems.
  • Incident Management: Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident.

Qualifications

Proven years of related experience or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
