We are looking for a Network & Automation Project Intern with hands‑on skills in networking (CCNA level), Python, and Ansible to support the delivery of network‑centric automation and infrastructure initiatives. This internship is technically focused, combining practical network and automation work with structured project coordination in enterprise or cloud environments. This role is well suited to a student who is comfortable working with networking fundamentals and technical tools, and who is interested in understanding how network, automation, and infrastructure work is planned, delivered, and coordinated within real projects.
What You'll Do
- Network & Infrastructure Focus
- Assist with network setup and configuration aligned with CCNA fundamentals
- Support routing, switching, VLAN, and IP addressing activities
- Work with teams to support network readiness for automation or AI deployments
- Help document network designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Automation & Technical Execution
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, reporting, or data processing
- Use Ansible to support infrastructure or network automation
- Assist with automating repetitive operational or project related tasks
- Support proofs of concept for automation or AI enabled tools
- Project Management & Delivery Support
- Support Project Managers with planning, tracking, and delivery of network, automation, and infrastructure projects
- Maintain key project artefacts, including plans, schedules, RAID logs, and status reports
- Coordinate with network, automation, and application teams
- Prepare meeting materials, capture actions, and track deliverables
- Process Improvement & Documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency through automation
- Help create templates, playbooks, and technical documentation
- Support Agile or hybrid project delivery approaches
What We're Looking For
- Education
- Currently studying towards a Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a technical field
- Technical Skills (Required)
- Networking fundamentals (CCNA level), including: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing and switching basics, VLANs, subnetting, and network troubleshooting
- Python: Basic to intermediate scripting for automation or data related tasks
- Ansible: Familiarity with playbooks, modules, inventories, and automation concepts
- Project & Professional Skills
- Understanding of basic project management concepts (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in cross functional teams
