Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Responsible for technical specialized repairs on mission-critical datacentre systems requiring sophisticated analytical problem solving techniques to identify cause.
  • Reporting: Reviews specialized contractual reports and activities.
  • Site Maintenance: Oversees the site maintenance and upkeep of Data Center infrastructures according to Equinix global standards.
  • Assess Adherence to Policy: Ensures all repairs performed on all Data Center infrastructure are according to the manufacturer's guidelines and best practices.
  • Complexity & Problem Solving: Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of specialized failed critical components. Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues. Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.
  • Collaboration & Interaction: Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes. Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion. Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters.
  • Design: Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source).

Qualifications

Typically requires a proven years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or proven years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
