Are you a Mechanical Mate, Fitters Mate, Maintenance Mate, Mechanical Assistant, Plumbers Mate, Machinist Assistant? Are you looking to grow your career and make the move into the exploding Data Center world? We are looking for a Critical Facilities Engineer Level II (Junior role/ Mechanical bias), you’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our site operations. This is a shift role and will be based on a 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off with some nights. This role is a fantastic opportunity to break into the data center world and progress your career.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facility & Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance on non-critical facility components to ensure reliability and efficiency. Carry out routine repairs and upkeep, applying your mechanical knowledge to keep systems in top condition. Monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and respond to alarms using standard operating procedures—learning from experienced professionals every step of the way.
- Vendor Coordination: Work closely with vendors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to established protocols.
- Site Administration & Incident Support: Assist with maintaining accurate site logs for permits, including Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and scripts.
- Work Orders & Projects: Complete routine work order requests under supervision. Support incident management processes and contribute to small-scale projects—gaining exposure to infrastructure initiatives.
- Collaboration & Learning: Partner with other departments during maintenance activities. Shadow senior team members on infrastructure projects to develop your technical skills and industry knowledge.
What We’re Looking For:
- An NVQ Level II or III in a relevant field (or equivalent) and some relevant experience.
- A good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including refrigeration basics.
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow standard procedures.
- A team player with a proactive attitude and a commitment to safety.
