Overview
In this role you lead the EMEA Regional Procurement Management team to deliver resilient, scalable, and cost-effective procurement across a growing regional portfolio. You own the procurement operating model, scalability roadmap, and end-to-end governance spanning planning, procurement, delivery, and asset lifecycle. You partner across Design, Construction, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to align procurement with business priorities, manage supplier performance, and drive cost optimisation. You’ll leverage AI-enabled processes to boost efficiency and scaling. This is a high-impact role at Equinix, shaping regional procurement strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the EMEA Regional Procurement Management organization with clear accountability and scalable ways of working
- Coach a high-performing team to support portfolio growth and increased complexity
- Establish goals, OKRs, and rhythms aligned with regional/global priorities
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to foster an inclusive, accountable culture
- Act as senior procurement partner to connect priorities with capacity planning, construction delivery, engineering standards, and finances
- Drive alignment between regional execution and global procurement strategies
- Escalate stakeholder misalignment, supplier issues, and risks as needed
- Own the regional delivery model, resource allocation, governance, and management information
- Ensure scalable procurement operations without excessive headcount or manual processes
- Provide timely updates on procurement execution, supplier readiness, portfolio risk, and cost forecasts
- Implement AI-enabled procurement processes and collaborate with Finance on budgeting and cost control
- Lead negotiations with senior suppliers and set objectives balancing cost, delivery, risk, and TCO
- Translate requirements into actionable procurement execution plans
- Drive procurement simplification, centralization, and standardization across EMEA
- Deliver cost-optimisation initiatives while maintaining schedule and quality
- Manage supplier performance, risk, and quarterly reviews
- Ensure contract governance and auditability of procurement documentation
- Oversee inventory, asset governance, and lifecycle management in EMEA
- Lead cross-functional decisions on capacity reservation, pre-buy, and asset redeployment
Key requirements
- Extensive experience in procurement, supply chain, infrastructure, or a related field
- Experience leading managers or cross-functional teams
- Relevant degree in engineering, supply chain, construction management, business, finance, or related discipline (preferred)
- Direct experience in data centres, hyperscale infrastructure, or capital-intensive sectors (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of procurement strategy, supplier capacity planning, sourcing, and supplier performance
- Record of organisational transformation and scalable end-to-end supply chain solutions
- Strong financial acumen with spend management, forecasting, and cost optimisation
- Experience implementing KPIs, dashboards, and governance for suppliers
