Job Summary
Equinix’s Global Design & Construction (GDC) Team are searching for a candidate that has highly developed critical facility Pre-Construction knowledge, coupled with extensive practical construction experience, to drive standards at the ‘Front End’ of our delivery strategy. The candidate will provide specialist Pre-Construction guidance, offer strategic opportunities and lead the Front End strategic planning of multiple, large Data Centre construction projects across EMEA.
This is a newly created role to support our EMEA region in our Global Design and Construction strategy at an exciting period of growth. Occasional travel may be required for project delivery, depending on project locations, which involves exposure to construction environments.
We would consider applications from other locations where Equinix have a presence in EMEA.
Responsibilities

Project Management
- Create and Support multiple procurement strategies across multiple Project Teams across EMEA
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to Project Teams
- Produce and maintain process, aligned with Pre Construction initiatives and opportunities
- Provides Pre-Construction / Front End leadership in conjunction with stakeholders, including but not limited to; Master Planning, Design, Commercial, DFsMA, Major Capital Equipment (MCE), etc, whilst ensuring projects are meeting or exceeding company expectations

Leadership
- Leads Pre-Construction initiatives and embeds them into Projects
- Guides and governs Projects to adhere to the Equinix Pre-Construction Process
- Lead negotiations with both Internal and External parties

Stakeholder Relationships
- Supports the tendering and integration at the Front End of multiple external vendors , such as; the General Contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc.
- Significantly contributes to establishing and maintaining high value relationships with stakeholders
- Offer technical expertise during the procuring of all vendors, ensuring scope management is aligned

Process Development
- Contributes to identifying and developing systems / programs / process, relating to Pre-Construction
- Provides knowledge and leadership when embedding process or initiatives

Contract Management
- Contributes to developing and executing effective contract administration procedures, alongside Equinix Legal Teams, regarding generation, review, and monitoring of Framework contracts, and other pertinent documentation
- Lead and develop relationships with existing and new partnerships

Policy & Procedure Development
- Significantly contributes to creating and maintaining best in class policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in Data Centre Pre-Construction / Front End delivery
- Experience in leading multiple fast-track projects across multiple geographical locations/regions
- History of creating and embedding process
- History of leading various procurement process’ / procurement routes
- History of generating, leading and successfully completing Pre-Construction end-to-end
- Experience with prefabrication / off-site delivery methods
