Job Summary

Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Management
    • Provides immediate supervision to semi‑skilled support team members.
    • Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals.
    • Maintains schedules and workflow of the team.
    • Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and training.
  • Project / Infrastructure Site Management
    • Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the datacenters.
    • Executes specified routine tasks.
    • Meets unit targets typically against a weekly plan.
    • Provides input and guidance towards budget.
    • Overall site capacity supervision.
  • Vendor Management
    • Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards.
  • Testing
    • Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems.
  • Incident Management
    • Communicates and coordinates activities and on‑site staff during an incident.

Qualifications

Typical Degree & Years of Experience: Proven years of related experience or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
