We are recruiting for a Specialist to join our Global Nominee team. This varied role will give the successful candidate significant exposure to the growing UK Shareholder Services and Corporate client environment.
The Global Nominee product offers an online \βpost vesting\β trade execution and asset servicing solution for employees receiving shares derived from Corporate client share schemes.
Client service underpins our approach; the group actively seek to support the business products. We evaluate, plan and implement solutions to commercial proposals, many of which are tailored for specific events, and can be across multiple jurisdictions.
Core Duties / Responsibilities
Shareholder and Corporate Governance Research
- Support and maintenance internal data and databases within the corporate governance and proxy knowledge framework;
- Provide analysis of best practice on voting policies, CG, ESG, DEI and Industry themes;
- Prepare and support externally facing presentations on corporate governance developments, company resolutions, shareholder voting policies and related key market and industry trends and best practice;
- Support and research for the preparation of regular externally facing remuneration, ESG, DEI and corporate governance updates; and
- Undertake research projects, investor voting policy roadshows and analysis to support the corporate governance and campaign managers proxy deliverables.
Corporate Governance and Proxy Advisory
- Support team members on delivering remuneration corporate governance & ESG advisory to clients;
- Prepare informed research, detailed analyses, reports and briefing materials for clients with references to Corporate Governance codes, policies and prevailing best practice within the legal, regulatory and political framework;
- Provide qualitative and quantitative risk analyses using in house and third-party systems; and
- Attend & minute client meetings as required.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an enthusiastic passionate interest and knowledge in the following experience, skills and behaviours:
- 1-2 years\β experience working within the Corporate Governance advisory/analytical fields, or delivering on corporate governance and proxy voting matters, or within a relevant investor relations role;
- Have an understanding of listed Corporate Governance and compliance matters and shareholder voting logistics;
- Be proactive and enjoy keeping up to date with changes and developments in proxy related industry matters and best practice requirements;
- Good communication skills; capable of presenting, explaining and discussing research findings internally and externally;
- Strong organisation and analytical skills;
- Be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and databases
- Have good data management and processing skills;
- A proactive and hands-on attitude alongside the resilience to deliver to tight deadlines;
- A facilitative approach; enjoys operating as part of a team and proactively builds relationships across the business;
- The interpersonal skills associated with working within a professional advisory environment; and
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with team members under timeline pressure.
