The EQ Retirement Solutions – Private team is responsible for delivering professional administration services and change programmes to meet our client\’s objectives and priorities alongside business change programmes that seek to enhance our services. The portfolio of change that our clients face includes, but is not limited to, technology migrations, product development, Regulatory changes, data migrations, business acquisitions and system integrations and upgrades.
Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding and dynamic team within the EQ Retirement Solutions division. The primary focus for the Pensions Manager will be to ensure the professional and compliant delivery of administrative services to our clients and to work alongside our change delivery colleagues to ensure this continues throughout the management of often complex projects.
Success in this role will require involve close liaison with both client and internal teams, in particular the administration teams and change delivery teams.
The team is based is based across the UK, Poland and India. Travel will be expected across all of our locations and client sites as the program needs dictate.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Acting as the Pensions Manager for a portfolio of clients
- Maintaining a full understanding of the benefit structure for all administration clients within their portfolio
- Working closely with the administration teams to ensure that they are aware of all key activities
- Managing senior stakeholders – including attendance at Trustee meetings and internal senior leadership meetings to represent the interests of the client
- Monitoring regulatory compliance alongside the administration team managers and the Head of Operations
- Ensuring ongoing delivery standards to agreed business/client objectives, requirements, schedules, costs and quality objectives.
- Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies that could threaten the delivery of administrative services.
- Proactively identifying countermeasures and recommending and/or taking appropriate action to overcome service delays, issues, or challenges.
- Attending internal and joint client project meetings
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, suppliers and clients.
- Adherence to all regulatory, security and compliance requirements.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:
- Demonstrable track record of a successful delivery of administrative services including the management of these services in a change landscape
- Demonstrable delivery of a complex transformational project
- Experience of working with effective cross-function programme delivery teams.
- Ability to provide leadership and motivate administration teams to meet the client\’s expectations.
- Strong senior stakeholder management skills, confidence to positively influence and challenge, where appropriate.
- Experience of working within project teams using a range of methodologies
- A strong commercial mindset, with a clear understanding of contracted obligations
- Experience of delivery with and managing 3rd party suppliers.
- Ability to work calmly and methodically when under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, demonstrable track record of finding consensus with senior stakeholder groups
- Experience gained within financial services or other regulated environments would be advantageous.
- A recognised Programme/Project Management accreditation.
