Role Summary

As a leading pensions provider in EQ Retirement Solutions, we are looking for individuals with strong administration and customer service experience who are looking for their next career move and are willing to learn. You will work alongside experienced team of individuals who specialise in pensions to assist in teaching you along the way. This role will be permanent to work within our Standard Life Team as a Pensions Administrator. Previous experience in pensions is not essential for this position but we are also willing to speak with those who have come from a pensions background also.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide, both buy in and buy out, administration services to customers, working to agreed targets
  • Putting the member experience at the heart of everything member transaction we lead upon
  • Interpreting and applying Trustee membership movements to the insured population during buy in administration
  • To complete / check casework and provide feedback
  • Resolving customer enquiries (oral and written)
  • Collating and escalating Trustee and client enquiries (oral and written)
  • Drafting of non-standard correspondence in response to customer and client enquiries
  • Collating and analysing data and produce routine reports
  • Performing and issuing pension calculations including manual calculations
  • Checking and reviewing Trustee’s pension calculation during buy in administration
  • Carrying out projects and ad-hoc activities, as determined by your Team Leader

  • Strong experience working in an administrative role is essential
  • Prior telephony-based customer service experience is essential
  • Previous experience as a Pensions Administrator within Defined Benefits Pensions (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Bulk Purchase Annuities (desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of following defined processes and procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong desire to deliver exceptional customer service
  • The ability to develop positive and productive working relationships
  • Computer literate with a willingness to learn a variety of systems
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Proven track record of quality, timely delivery
