The Role

Based out of our Leeds office, we are looking to hire Payments Agents to run the Payments processes associated with Lenvi’s Business Process Outsource (BPO) function. Reporting into the Payments Operations Manager, the role would be working within a small outsource finance team and would therefore suit someone with experience in an outsourced payments processes in a regulated loan book environment.

What You will be doing

  • Respond to all enquiries, whether received by telephone or in writing, efficiently and in accordance with our payment policies.
  • Managing all incoming & outgoing payments, ensuring ledgers are up to date, payments reconciled and any other payment duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements for payments with particular emphasis on treating customers fairly (TCF). Ensure all work is carried out in line with the applicable regulatory and legislative requirement.
  • Process the daily transactions for key BPO Customers.
  • Input into the monthly reporting for review by the FD and deliver to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work as part of a wider Primary Servicing and Finance teams, open to undertaking and managing additional tasks as required to ensure SLAs are delivered.
  • Other relevant responsibilities, as required.

Environment

The role is based from the Lenvi UK head office in Leeds with some travel as necessary throughout the UK, with overnight stays involved. Hybrid working is available but the post-holder is expected to be on site for a minimum of 3 days per week. Pace of environment is varied, ranging from responding to changing market needs through to the long term, necessitating methodical decision making.

  • A minimum of 12 months experience, working within payments, financial services, fintech, or mortgages.
  • An understanding of the regulators involved in financial services.
  • Experience in communicating effectively.
  • Confident, flexible, and self-motivated.
  • Articulate with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • A fast learner with the ability to acquire knowledge swiftly, work with the knowledge and pass it on as necessary.
  • Able to overcome objections and conflicts, proposing suitable methods of rectification.
  • Detail orientated with the ability to work methodically.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and workload to meet tight deadlines in a frequently changing environment.
  • Able to work proactively under your own initiative.
  • Adept at solving problems and possess strong analytical skills.
