Head of Private Sector Clients - Retirement Solutions

Responsibilities include managing a team of 7-10 staff, including Relationship Directors (RDs), Pensions Managers (PMs), and technical Proposition Leads, while supporting their technical and personal development. Collaborate with the Head of Change and Head of Operations to develop a holistic view of service delivery to clients and align it with client satisfaction goals. Act as the escalation point for relationship management issues. Attend client meetings and liaise internally with senior management, including the Managing Director, CEO, and Corporate Sponsor. Participate in annual client meetings to understand client needs and preferences. Provide regular reports on client matters to senior leadership and the Executive Committee. Oversee the development of individual client engagement models. Maintain knowledge of clients to support revenue projections and strategic planning. Own risks documented in the EQRS Private Sector operational risk log. Implement controls with the Head of Change and Head of Operations to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Review Client Account Plans regularly to inform strategic projects and revenue strategies. Maintain awareness of pensions regulations, trustee obligations, and client needs. This role falls under the FCA SMCR regime.

Skills, Capabilities, and Attributes:

• Extensive technical knowledge of the UK DB Pensions industry.
• Understanding of pensions at scheme and end-to-end client operations levels.
• Experience working with trustees and corporate sponsors.
• Proven senior management skills, including target setting and team leadership.
• Qualified actuary is desirable but not essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective change management leadership.
• Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, including experience providing executive updates.
• Ability to influence and build credibility across diverse stakeholders.
• Strong relationship management skills and ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Financial literacy and experience managing cost centres.
