Equiniti’s Reward function operates as a Centre of Excellence within the HR Shared Service model. The Reward, Learning & Development, HR Business Partnering, Resourcing and Engagement Centres of Excellence are supported by our People Services team in Chennai that deliver our core HR support activity. This is a remote role with a pragmatic approach to travel to our London City office.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The Global Benefits Lead is responsible for identifying, implementing and maintaining benefits structures to support the strategic direction of the business.
- Acts as key contact with all third-party benefits providers and EQ Leaders.
- The role is responsible for providing expert benefits advice, support & data and ensuring relevant statutory compliance, across Equiniti’s businesses and colleagues.
- Support the EVP, Total Reward in delivering Equiniti’s significant Reward agenda, focusing on the development, planning and administration of benefit programmes, including all global health, welfare and retirement plans.
- Serve as a recognised subject matter expert and provide consultation regarding complex benefit issues.
- Lead the global benefit plan renewal processes and annual benefit plan budget.
- Lead on contractual negotiations, supported by the legal and procurement teams.
- Maintain overall relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and/or consultants.
- Support the EVP, Total Reward in designing, developing and implementing Equiniti’s broader Reward plan.
- Provide guidance, advice, analysis, and training to HR colleagues regarding applicable benefit plans.
- Manage a global benefits team, including coaching, development, performance management, and staffing.
- Review existing benefits to ensure delivery against wellbeing strategy and recommend proposals to adjust as necessary.
- Leverage technology and look for ways to simplify our processes so the team can operate more efficiently.
- Lead on the planning and implementation of benefits programmes and projects with respect to Merger and Acquisition work.
- Assist the wider Global Reward team with projects, reporting and analysis.
- Lead merger & integration analysis, due diligence and integration work.
- Occasional travel to other Equiniti offices, as required.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
- Proven global Reward experience of managing multiple benefits programmes and projects, with significant budgetary impact/responsibility in a complex global environment.
- A demonstrable track record of building strong influential relationships, establishing oneself as a trusted partner and expert in benefits.
- Ability to utilise this experience and communicate complex benefits topics in a clear and compelling manner to all stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge of best practice in reward.
- Extensive experience with benefits.
- Deep knowledge of benefits and pension structures, and wider grading, pay structures, pay and related legislation.
- Sound knowledge of benefits laws and regulatory compliance.
- Highly proficient in the use of Excel (able to build and run complex benefits models).
- Broad knowledge of HR systems.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data, and to present, analyse and propose recommendations clearly.
- Highly commercial, collaborative, engaging and credible, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
- Demonstrable project management skills, and experience of managing multiple reward programs and projects, with significant budgetary management in a complex global environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with and communicate benefits related projects to the business.
- Strong organisational skills; experience of working to tight deadlines, often under pressure, effectively and often without close supervision mobilising resources and confidently liaising with colleagues to ensure outcomes are achieved effectively.
- A flexible and pragmatic approach to supporting the wider operational environment.
- Excellent presentation and written skills with demonstrable attention to detail.
