We're supporting an exciting opportunity for a Proposition Governance Lead to join a highly regarded financial services organisation within its Commercial & Propositions team. This role will play a key part in ensuring retirement and retail propositions remain compliant with Consumer Duty and PROD4 requirements, while driving a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Head of Governance & Technical, you'll take ownership of product governance activities, oversee product reviews and fair value assessments, and provide valuable insights to senior stakeholders that help shape business decisions and improve customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the governance framework for retail and retirement propositions, ensuring compliance with Consumer Duty and PROD4 requirements.
- Conduct annual Fair Value Assessments and Product Reviews, ensuring all regulatory deadlines are met.
- Assess product performance, governance metrics and customer outcomes, identifying potential risks, trends and areas for improvement.
- Escalate risks and governance concerns with clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance governance processes, including Proposition Development and Governance frameworks.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of FCA requirements across propositions and governance activities.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Product, Risk, Compliance and wider business functions to improve customer outcomes and governance effectiveness.
- Champion governance best practice and continuous improvement across the organisation.
About You
We're keen to speak with professionals who have:
- Experience within Governance, Product Governance, Proposition Governance, Risk or Technical functions.
- Strong knowledge of Consumer Duty, PROD4 and FCA regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting Product Reviews, Fair Value Assessments or similar governance activities.
- A background within Pensions, Retirement, Insurance, Investments or Financial Services.
- The ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior leaders and influencing decision-making.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, with experience using governance MI and data to drive improvements.
