Responsibilities

  • Supporting line managers by offering professional and pragmatic support and advice on employee-related issues.
  • Managing ER cases from initial consultation to end resolution in a timely manner.
  • Supporting line managers with disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and other ER related processes.
  • Preparing meeting and hearing documentation, invite and outcome letters.
  • Identifying potential legal and business risks and providing practical recommendations to mitigate these.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and recording all activity on our HR System.
  • Keeping up to date with employment law developments and ensuring policies and practices reflect current legislation and best practice.

Ideal Candidate

  • Be an experienced ER professional with a proven track record.
  • Be CIPD qualified to a minimum level 3.
  • Have experience of working within a multi-site organisation.
  • Have up-to-date and working knowledge of employment law and best practice guidance.
  • Have the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Be able to respond effectively to planned and unplanned work priorities.
  • Prior experience of the healthcare sector would be desirable, but not essential.

Summary

  • 40 hours per week (hybrid working, the successful candidate will be willing to travel frequently between all Manchester based sites and must have access to own transport to enable this).
  • Salary £34,000 to £36,000 per annum (dependant on experience).
