Equilibrium is more than a Chartered Financial Planning company - we’re an award-winning, independent firm based in Handforth, Cheshire, with a clear purpose: making people’s lives better. Whether it’s our clients, our team, or our community, we’re committed to creating a positive impact in everything we do. We’re also proud to manage over £1.3bn in assets on behalf of our clients. Finding the right people is the secret to our success. We're incredibly proud of our amazing team and their dedication to excellence. In return, we offer a supportive, engaging environment, fantastic benefits, and real opportunities for development.

This is a newly created role designed to support operational demands as Equilibrium continues to scale through acquisitions. As a Resource Manager, you will sit within the client-facing operation, coordinating work across the Financial Planner and Client Manager teams to ensure it flows efficiently and in line with business priorities. You will manage capacity, allocate prospects, oversee client onboarding, and maintain high-quality operational data and reporting, combining strong data insight with a deep understanding of individual strengths and team dynamics. The role is critical to driving efficiency through optimal utilisation, while providing the Client Services Director with clear visibility of performance, risks, and the flow of new business. It also offers the opportunity to shape processes, improve systems, and influence how the operation scales as the business grows.

To achieve this, our new Resource Manager will:

  • Manage capacity across Financial Planner and Client Manager teams, taking accountability for and leading allocation decisions to ensure work is distributed effectively, fairly, and in line with business priorities, while applying a strong understanding of individual strengths, capabilities, and team dynamics.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for all incoming work and new prospects, balancing demand with available resource and constructively challenging where capacity is constrained.
  • Oversee the end-to-end onboarding pipeline, proactively identifying delays, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring a smooth and timely client experience.
  • Ensure CRM data, resource planning tools, and reporting are accurate and effective, improving systems to enhance visibility and efficiency.
  • Produce and interpret key operational metrics (including utilisation, onboarding timelines, and conversion rates), providing clear insight to support decision-making.
  • Forecast future capacity requirements in line with growth plans, identifying risks and making recommendations to support sustainable scaling.
  • Monitor service delivery against agreed standards, identifying issues early and escalating with practical solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across resource management and onboarding processes, working with stakeholders to test and implement changes.
  • Develop and maintain clear allocation and segmentation rules to optimise client outcomes and support business strategy.
  • Build strong relationships across teams, developing a deep understanding of how individuals and teams operate to ensure allocation decisions reflect both data and real-world capability.
  • Support strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects, including performance analysis, process improvement, and integration activity.
