We are looking for an Associate Director, Account Manager to join us in London, working closely with leading participants across the global securities finance market. Our commercial team partners with broker-dealers, agent lenders, beneficial owners and other market participants to help them maximise the value of our integrated trading, post-trade, data and regulatory solutions. This position is well suited to an experienced securities finance professional with deep market knowledge, strong industry relationships and the credibility to engage confidently at every level - from operations through to senior heads of business.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of high-profile client relationships, identify opportunities to drive growth across our product suite, and represent EquiLend as a trusted commercial partner in the market. We are open to candidates coming from a practitioner background who are looking to move into a client-facing commercial role, as well as those with established account management experience. What matters most is your knowledge of the market, the strength of your relationships, and your ability to have strategic conversations with clients.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage a portfolio of securities finance client relationships across broker-dealers, agent lenders, beneficial owners and other market participants.
- Identify opportunities to expand adoption of EquiLend's solutions across existing client organisations, driving multi-product growth.
- Lead strategic client discussions focused on improving operational efficiency, market access and transparency across the securities finance lifecycle.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client's business model, technology landscape and operational priorities to position EquiLend solutions effectively.
- Build and expand relationships across client organisations, engaging decision-makers and senior stakeholders beyond existing contacts.
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments, managing multiple relationships and competing priorities within client accounts.
- Coordinate closely with product, client services and implementation teams to ensure successful onboarding, adoption and ongoing satisfaction.
- Represent EquiLend at industry conferences, client meetings and market events to strengthen our presence across the securities finance community.
- Provide structured feedback to product teams on market trends, client needs and emerging industry challenges.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience within the securities finance industry, in roles such as trading, prime brokerage, agency lending, middle or back office, or related market infrastructure.
- Comprehensive market knowledge and an established network of relationships across the industry, with the credibility to engage confidently at all levels.
- Evidence of owning and managing senior client or counterparty relationships independently — not necessarily in a formal sales capacity, but with clear accountability for those relationships.
- Ability to identify and progress commercial opportunities, whether through prior account management experience or a track record of leading commercial conversations and navigating complex client situations.
- Strategic and creative thinking — able to identify growth opportunities, challenge conventional approaches and solve problems independently.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to build relationships at the most senior levels of client organisations.
- Highly self‑motivated with a strong sense of ownership, able to create opportunities and drive initiatives with limited direction.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high‑profile client engagements simultaneously.
Why EquiLend?
- Be recognised for your contribution through a discretionary annual cash bonus, linked to individual and company performance.
- Work flexibly with up to 100 remote working days per calendar year.
- Take time to recharge with generous annual leave, plus public holidays.
- Private health and dental insurance, available from your first day (optional).
- Save for the future through a company pension contribution of 7.5%, when you contribute a minimum of 1.5%.
