Equifind are working with a growing, boutique Property Management business in the West End, London, who are in search of a Permanent Property Accountant to join the firm. The group is made up of prime London Estate Agents, Property Developers, Land Brokers and many more services. The team has extensive experience in this space and its performance is a result of the great advice and relationships that have been built.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager to gain maximum exposure to the finance duties and general business operations. The recruitment for this role comes at an interesting time as they are in the process of implementing a strong Finance infrastructure to support their growth plans, with acquisitions already underway as well as the resourcing and development of their Internal Teams across the UK, Middle East, Africa, India and Asia Pacific.

The Role

  • Manage accounts payable invoices and payments.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the month-end accounting, including updating quarter-end working papers.
  • Assistance in posting month-end journals (fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments, accruals).
  • Exposure to quarterly VAT returns.
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of the intercompany balances.
  • Assisting with audit process for year-end.

Application Criteria

  • Ideally a part-qualified or finalist accountant who has a full understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Ideally possesses experience in Real Estate/Agency Brokerage but not mandatory.
  • Anything from 3-5 Years experience within a finance function.
  • Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong work ethic and good culture.

Compensation

The Permanent Property Accountant working for this Property Management business based in the West End will be paid a competitive market-based salary with full study support (CIMA, ACCA). Hybrid working pattern: 3-days per week in the office, 2-days WFH.
