Equifind is partnering with a high-growth European private equity investor at a key stage of its growth and fundraising journey. They're looking to hire a driven Head of Commercial Finance on a temporary basis, to deliver high-quality insight, reporting and analysis during an especially busy period for the business. The contract is expected to run for 6-9 months, with the potential to convert into a permanent position should it prove a good fit for both sides. The firm is well established, complex and manages significant AUM across multiple funds. This role would suit a motivated and commercially minded senior FP&A professional looking to oversee the EMEA region, supporting financial planning, analysis, management reporting and strategic decision-making.

The role sits within a small but high-impact team that acts as the key interface between the business and its private equity stakeholders, while also serving as a trusted partner to the CFO. This is a fast-paced environment, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The offices are based near Green Park, with four days per week required on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all FP&A and commercial finance activities across the manco and underlying investment platforms.
  • Partner closely with the CFO, Investment team and senior stakeholders to provide commercial insight and support strategic decision-making across fundraising, new investments and portfolio performance.
  • Own management reporting, board packs and investor analysis, delivering clear commentary on financial performance, KPIs, cashflow and business drivers.
  • Develop and enhance financial models to support scenario analysis, headcount planning, carried interest forecasting and operational decision-making.
  • Drive improvements across finance systems, reporting processes and data analytics, including automation and BI/dashboard reporting initiatives.
  • Act as a key finance business partner to operational and investment teams across multiple regions, helping to improve financial visibility, cost control and overall commercial performance.
About You
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience leading a Commercial Finance / FP&A function.
  • Experience within large corporate structures, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Pivot, complex formulas and financial modelling.
  • Strong Power BI capability, including dashboards, data visualisation and reporting.
  • Strong analytical ability and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
What's on Offer
  • £130,000–150,000 base salary, either on a fixed-term contract or equivalent day rate inside IR35.
  • 28 days annual leave.
  • Enhanced pension.
  • Professional fees and memberships covered.
