Equifind is partnering with a rapidly growing private equity-backed restaurant group to recruit a Finance Director. This is a pivotal leadership role within a dynamic, multi-site business that is scaling both organically and through strategic expansion. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Director will play a critical role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls and supporting the executive team in delivering the group’s growth strategy. The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance expertise with commercial acumen and a proven ability to operate within a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all aspects of financial control, reporting and compliance across the group
  • Managing the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to drive profitability and performance across the estate
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
  • Delivering insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Leading cash flow management, working capital optimisation and liquidity planning
  • Enhancing financial controls, governance and risk management frameworks
  • Supporting private equity stakeholders with reporting, board packs and performance analysis
  • Driving finance transformation initiatives, including systems, automation and process improvement
  • Supporting acquisition activity, integrations and future growth initiatives
  • Building, mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven Finance Director, Head of Finance or Financial Controller experience within hospitality, restaurants, leisure, retail or other multi-site consumer businesses
  • Previous exposure to private equity-backed environments preferred
  • Strong financial control and reporting background
  • Commercially minded with excellent business partnering skills
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Demonstrable track record of driving process improvements and finance transformation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to boards, investors and senior leadership teams
  • Hands-on, adaptable and comfortable operating in a high-growth environment
