Equifind are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant Maternity Cover (12-Months) working for this West End based leading Venture Capital firm. This is a great growth opportunity for anybody looking to develop their finance career further and join a diverse team of investment professionals. Interviews will take place ASAP, so we are ideally looking for somebody with either a short Notice Period or Immediately Available to Interview this Week/Next Week.
About The Role
As a Assistant Management Accountant (Maternity Cover, 12-Months), you will have experience working within previous finance roles. The role joins in within the group internal reporting function as well as the fund accounting aspect of the business. We need someone who is motivated and confident looking to develop their experience and finance knowledge further. You will support both the Finance Manager and the wider finance and commercial teams consisting of an on-site working pattern being based 4-days in the office, 1-day WFH, remotely.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and production of the monthly management accounts.
- Responsible for preparing the month-end prepayments and accruals.
- Responsible for monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
- Responsible for monthly depreciation and amortisation journals and analysis.
- Own the multicurrency bank reconciliations process and payments.
- Work closely with the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensuring accuracy and integrity of ledgers.
- Own the commissions process and responsible for monthly commission calculations and accruals.
- Bookkeeping for all transactions and activity across a range of funds, SPV's and structure companies.
- The preparation of NAV's.
- Producing ad-hoc financial data as deemed necessary.
Experience & Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should ideally be:
- Part-qualified - ACCA or CIMA (nearing the end of the studies).
- 2+ years of experience working in a finance function within the financial services industry.
- Journal entry and account reconciliations knowledge.
- Some previous knowledge of working on management accounts.
- An organised individual who is keen to learn, has high attention to detail and the ability to build meaningful analysis.
- Enjoy working with numbers and large data sets with at least an intermediate skill set level with MS Excel.
- Ability to self-prioritise and manage workload.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
The Assistant Management Accountant (Maternity Cover, 12-Months) offers a salary of £32,500 - £40,000 PA and a hybrid work pattern.
