Equifind are representing a West End based, UK leading Private Equity firm who are looking to hire a Junior Accountant. Long term they see this as the ideal training ground for someone with 2-years+ experience, who would like to continue studying towards their ACCA/CIMA exams; and ultimately become a qualified accountant for the business. The company values work-life balance, employee well-being, and providing broad experience in a structured way.

The Role:

  • Manage accounts payable invoices and payments.
  • Processing corporate employee’s expenses through ‘Pleo’ (an expense management system).
  • Monitoring the group cash position.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Month-end accounting, including updating quarter-end working papers.
  • Posting month-end journals (fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments, accruals).
  • VAT returns.
  • Recharges.
  • Processing monthly payroll.
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of the intercompany balances.
  • Assisting with audit process for year-end.
  • Ad-hoc projects.

Application Criteria:

  • Ideally a qualified AAT accounting professional or part-qualified accountant.
  • Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.
  • Confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ideally intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look Up, SumIf).
  • Willing to be part of a team and engage with others.

Compensation:

  • Competitive market-based salary with full study support (CIMA, ACCA).
  • Hybrid working pattern: 3-days per week in the office, 2-days WFH.
